I am exploring a cheaper land line service for my very elderly Mum.
She is nearly blind and very deaf. Her use of her land line is therefore very limited.
At present her land line with Virgin media costs £21.03 per month line rental.
Her outbound calls to the doctor or dentist or a family member (whose voices she can follow) are costing 24p per minute. This soon racks up if she’s on hold for example, to the surgery.
Virgin can’t offer anything better. No “social tariff” as such.
What are your parents paying? Who with? Is there a better deal out there?
