Special assistance at the airport (Stansted)

Has anyone used special assistance at Stansted for an elderly parent?

In my case its not needed for mobility (no wheelchair needed), but I booked it for my 80 yr old dm because I am worried she will get lost or overwhelmed traveling by herself.

Wondering if anyone has experience of the help they give, if they are friendly, what exactly they do to get people from the hall to the flight?

Thanks!!

My Mum was in a wheel chair. It always worked perfectly.
But in your case, you go to a designated area after check in, they check the info & when its time, take person through customs etc, & leave them in another designated area, then come back & load on,
on arrival, she will wait on plane for offloading procedure, & be taken through to exit, & left in designated spot.
the only problem is if they want to go walkabout while waiting ….
