My relative previously had an old phone of mine, but has lost it. She can be suspicious of technology so it doesn’t need to be a smart phone, but it would be nice if she could receive photos as well as text and calls.

I would say an old iphone. You can hide everything but the phone and the message
Pressed post too early. I did similar with my neighbour and put only those 2 apps on the first screen and hid all the others in a folder on the next page.

Doro phones are made especially for older persons. My dad had one.

I second the suggestion for Doro phones. They are simple with large buttons and designed with the elderly as the target market.

Thanks, I will look at the Doro phones.
Good call omgitchiness re old iPhone, and very useful tip, hadn’t thought of hiding the icons.

My mum certainly got along better with the Doro than the basic Nokia i tried, not just because of the larger buttons but the high contrast too. They are well designed.

My Dad has a basic Doro, too, but it doesn’t do photos.
