Can anyone recommend a watch that detects falls?

Hi my dad has had a couple of falls recently so we would like to get him a watch that alerts family or emergency services if he has a fall. There seems to be a big range of products and I am a bit lost. Something effective affordable would be great. Thank you.

Samsung watches do, certainly the newer ones anyway, they'll alert your emergency contact.

Check with your local adult services. They may have a contract with a provider in the local area. The falls alarms are not watches. Think about having a keysafe fitted outside the property for access as well.

DM and MiL both have YourStride watches. We picked these as you can talk into the watch itself if you fall. Lot of others work off a base unit in the house, which is no good if you fall in the garden or on the street.

Agree with PP to have a keysafe too.

My mother has an alarm provided by the local council for a weekly fee. It can be a pendant or a watch according to preference
