Biopsy results waiting for outcome

Wondered if I’m expecting too much but my dad had a biopsy on his lip for a growth 2 weeks ago. He chased today and was given an appointment for the 10 June - am I wrong to think this is a long time to wait - feel nervous about these results as my dad has already had 2 melanomas removed in the last year. I totally appreciate how busy everything is but have no experience of how long you normally wait to be seen for results after a biopsy and wondered if I should push for sooner - thank you

I would call to see if they have a waiting list. They might, or some places suggest calling at a certain time to check for cancellations - depends on the facility.

You can push politely but persistently! From what you say about the melanomas, it doesn't seem unreasonable to point out that the 2 week referral for cancer is a bit useless if they take a biopsy and then DO NOTHING FOR EIGHT WEEKS.
