My father who has mild dementia and his wife were conned into buying two mobility armchairs (that move up and down and tip back) and a mobility bed (similar features to chair) for..... £10,000. The firm, Oaktree Mobility don't have a price list online and send a salesman to the house. In this instance he left having sold them two chairs and a bed they hadn't seen or tried out. We tried to get our father to cancel in the 15 day cooling off period, but he was stubborn. The bed arrived, he fell out of it on the first night and hasn't been back since. I've been instructed to get rid of it, but on inspecting it I think it's actually faulty as the motors under the mattress are too weak to lift the structure into a sitting up position. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?
