DM has just texted me saying she's not been feeling well all day, feeling faint and has now got a cold numb left arm and hand and wondering what she should do. I was thinking about going to bed (up at 6 for work tomorrow) but now I'm thinking aghhh what to do. I told her to phone NHS 24 but now I'm thinking should I go over there or what. Last time this happened we ended up at A&E and didn't get back until 3.30am.

DM is a very anxious stressy full on person (more so since DF died over a year ago) but also has some kind of heart issue that's being looked into. So there's the worry it might be related or maybe just a panic attack or something.

I end up getting stressed out myself worrying about her.

Call an ambulance could be a heart attack.

I would be a rubbish nurse, I was thinking has she been leaning on it and it’s gone to sleep…

I hope it’s nothing sinister, but like @Bannedontherun says it could be something that needs attention.

She seems fine so we decided I'd just come home. Reckon it was a panic attack. She was going on about how she misses my dad he always knew what to do etc. Going to try and sleep now . Thanks everyone

I think health anxiety is so common in the elderly. My DF was very anxious for a while. Understandable that your DM might be worried and things always seem worse at night. Glad all ok, but totally appreciate how worrying it is for you.

DM has always been anxious but it's worse now. I think she's got undiagnosed ADHD too which compounds it. She seems fine this morning, hopefully a quiet day.

So glad she was ok. How is she this morning?

Seems fine today just having a quiet morning at home.
