Insurance policy for care home?

Does anyone know of an insurance policy (or similar) that would pay for care should it be needed in later life?

Just trying to plan really, and wondering if there are any alternatives to just paying the cost until your money runs out.

Of course there are options like investments etc but that's more a way of increasing how much money you have, which would then be spent on care.

I'm more thinking of something you pay into monthly, if you needed to go into a care home in however many years it pays out and if you didn't need to then it just wouldn't?

No. There were a few briefly, but I don't think anyone does them now.

You can get a deferred annuity if you think it's very likely someone will need care in, say, 2 years. Or at the point they need a care home.you can get an immediate needs care annuity. But nothing that's a 'just in case'.

Thanks! Such a shame there aren't more options for people other than save a load of money or let the tax payer fund it.

Annuities worth looking into though.
