Cost of Nursing Home

Please can anyone give me real examples of what you’ve had to pay (or what the costs to the local authority) were of a nursing home place? Thank you.

My mum is paying just over £1500 a week in the SE at the moment - small, homely, really not that specialist. Previous home was £1900 a week for specialist neurological care in a less expensive county. I think my MIL's was around £1800 a week for dementia care in a very posh area.

More than you can imagine for longer than you can bear, basically. But if it's come to that, there's not much choice. My mum is immobile and doubly incontinent.
