Bruised feet as no fat - thickest slippers?

Hi FIL has bruised the soles of his feet as he has no fat at all.
podietrist (not nhs) gave him insoles but he won’t stop wandering and is really in pain.
can anyone suggest REaLLY padded slippers?
I’ll take him to the gp on Monday (I hope) but atm. He goes to the loo and cries out in pain and frustration. And can’t get back to bed.
thank you!

Im not sure if any good but I did try some Skechers slippers on recently that were very padded and comfortable. Not sure if they do mens but might be worth a look.

Try Diaped Duosoft insoles inside his slippers - they do take up space so make sure he has enough room to fit both the insole and his feet. The slippers will need to be closed at the back to accommodate the insole, and need to have enough depth at the toe box that his toes don’t rub on the top of the slipper. They’re really good for helping with fatpad atrophy if you can find shoes/slippers that accommodate them ok.

I swear by LongBay slippers from Amazon. Really padded, comfy and a great price.
