Hi all,
My mum (77) is my dad's (86) sole carer. Dad has very little mobility beyond shuffling a few steps around the house, so uses a mobility scooter for trips out. However, for smaller outings, or visiting people they prefer to use dad's wheelchair.
His current wheelchair is ancient, and weighs a tonne. I can barely push it, and the thought of my mum doing so really worries me, so I want to get them a new one.
I've seen some much more manoeuverable looking ones out there - also with brakes on the handle for the pusher to use. Does anyone have any recommendations? It needs to be the self propelled type (big back wheel), sturdy, with handlebar brakes and as light as possible.
Thank you!
