Just home from hospital

DM (94) has been admitted to hospital again "just in case". Last time she crashed in the night and we were called to go in, so I'm kind of reluctant to try to go to bed but the alternative is far too much wine. Is there anyone there for a hand hold?

Hi sorry to here your mum's not well. I'll cheer you up with the reason I'm awake.

I woke myself up suddenly, thought I'd swolled something then realised it had gone straight down my windpipe. I honestly hadn't realised I'd falled asleep with a throat sweet in my mouth last night. I could still breath but felt slightly panic, woke half the house shouting as didn't want to move just in case. DH thinks as I can breath fine and it's food there is nothing they would do, my throat feels a bit funny and I feel like a plonker (never done anything like this before). But also don't want to go back to sleep just in case I choke, I will also be taking DD swimming soon anyway.

@MigGirl thanks for the reply, hope your night gets better! Question is, how am I supposed to sleep anyway with all these birds shouting?

Sorry to hear about your mum. No idea why I’m awake.
The night feels so long when you can’t sleep. X

@Timeforanotheraliasnow yes they are rather load especially with all the windows open. It's also so light now hardly feels like night but it's not quite 5am. I may need a nap latter. 😴
I'm thinking I should have a hot drink to help my throat.
