Worried about DM's symptoms

DM is 76, been in very good health (she's had cancer but made full recovery) until a few weeks ago. She was diagnosed with vitreous detachment in one eye but is coping with that okay.
Separately, she started with symptoms of extreme fatigue, brain fog, lost confidence, dizziness and she's burping a lot. No pain as such nor acid reflux.
Blood, stool tests and ECG all clear/normal. GP suggesting it could be low estrogen, likely to prescribe HRT, running some more blood tests. She's never been on HRT before but is willing to try it (I'm on it, and totally understand the benefits.)
Her symptoms feel really random and she's really not her usual active, busy self, it's just so out of the norm for her.
We're concerned something's been missed but unsure what to suggest. Anyone experienced anything similar in an older parent?

The not doing as much and losing confidence is a normal part of aging. Are her friends still as active?

What cancer and when? Would a CT be indicated to check for recurrence?
My Dad’s bloods etc were but he has metastatic oesophageal cancer.

Do you know what blood tests were done? I would check for B12 deficiency and coeliac disease.
