How long are Attendance Allowance applications taking now?

As above. I posted mum's form off around 4 weeks ago but have heard nothing since. Has anyone who has applied recently got any idea of timescales?

For my work I complete and process probably 30 of these a month. Just recently the time for a decision has been around 6/7 weeks but I have had a couple which have been awarded within 2/3 weeks ( not special rules cases )which I've never known before in the 6 years I've been doing them. last year the wait times were up to 12 weeks so the processing time has come down a lot since then.

My mum had a text receipt for her form this week (which I sent on 2 April) that said it was taking about 12 weeks to process.

We heard within around 4-5 weeks, that was a couple of months ago. Also got awarded higher rate which was an unexpected bonus!

They seem to be awarding most people higher rate at the moment. Even on forms where I tick no night time needs they still seem to get awarded it. Bizarre.

Posted DUnckes and didn't even get a response to acknowledge that I'd put in the application. Phoned after around 6 weeks to chase it and it went into his bank account the next day.

Yes i was going to say around 2months- we do them at work for people and that's about the timeline we go by.
