Elderly DM Received Two COL Payments in Feb?

I look after my DM's finances as she has some memory issues now. She received a COL payment on 8th Feb of £299 but has received another COL payment today of £300. I wasn't expecting her to receive anymore COL payments so wonder if this is an overpayment? She does receive pension credit and attendance allowance so not sure if this could have anything to do with it?

Thought I would check on MN as people are always so knowledgeable about these things!

This gives the dates of payments. Should have been 3 in all, the £299 is the February payment. So the £300 could be a late autumn payment or a late winter fuel, possibly.

Many thanks for your reply @MereDintofPandiculation. I've double checked and she has already had all three of the payments listed so this is a fourth. I think it must be a mistake.

Have you checked her winter fuel allowance? Could the previous £300 have been winter fuel and not COL?

Yes just checked. She received £600 in December which is shown as winter fuel allowance and COL.
