Using finance POA with Scottish power

My elderly mum is struggling with managing her online utilities. I have finance POA which I already use to help with her bank accounts. Does anyone know how I go about registering the POA with Scottish power so I can manage her bill? It’s the old style paper POA. I live five hours away from mum and so it’s all quite difficult!

My suggestion would be to give them a call or look online on the company website. I had to do this a few years ago. Unfortunately, can't quite remember the procedure and although it's likely to be quite straightforward, it'll probably take more time than you'd think.

Also, they'll probably want to see copies of the POA.

if you have POA, couldn't you just access her utilities account online yourself using her details?
