possible to get dad moved from NHS hospital ward to private hospital?

My dad is probably in his last weeks and just called me begging to be taken out of the NHS hospital where he is right now. The doctor told me yesterday they were waiting on results of a CT scan that they should have this morning, but were pessimistic that there would be anything they can fix, and he'd probably be put on an end-of-life plan. As I understand it, such a plan requires an occupational therapist to come to the home, and might take time to get organised. Is it possible to get my dad moved to a private hospital today or tomorrow where he can have a private room, until he's able to come home?

Thanks for the update and sending best wishes. End of life care can be put in place quite quickly when needed.

A relative who was in hospital was discharged to a care home as a step down until going home while waiting a care package. But has since got worse and will not be going home. Instead of going back into hospital they sent out an acute care team which is a new initiative to keep people out of hospital if possible eg they can administer iv drugs which usually can only be done in hospital. It's like instead of the patient going into hospital they bring the hospital to the patient. I think they also go into the patients home

Acute care teams will only come out for a max of 10 days. The idea is that then the patient either gets better or goes into hospital/hospice. They're not there to keep patients who need ongoing care in their own home.

Easier to get I to a nursing home. That can be done in a day or two. GPS visit regularly and many do offer end of life car. No need for doctors if it is that bad.
