Do Age Concern or similar offer a service to help elderly with paperwork, bills etc

Need to put an elderly person in contacy with someone who can help with bills, paperwork etc. They have no family or friends to help. For instance energy provider sent letter saying they are going paperless and they should set up an email account blah, blah etc.

There's other things too and I think they need someone to help ongoing. Do Age Concern or similar offer a service with someone local?

Yes I work for Age Uk and we have a personal assistant service who can help an older person with this type of thing, paperwork, sorting bills, making phone calls, whatever is needed really. There is a charge for the service.

You can get PA to help with them with this. Contact adult social care who may be able to point you in the right direction. Or if self funding check out local services offering caring etc

They are on pension credits and live in sheltered accommdation.

So Age Concern can they send someone to the house because phone would be no good as fairly deaf etc

Is it social housing? If so the council may have a service to support tenants there.

Do they have a social worker who could assist with this type of thing?

Friendly Trust are also amazing but have a long waiting list and do charge for the service
