DF is 85 years old, suffering from intense itching for quite a while. All tests and scans came back normal and he is fine in himself. The doctor finally elected to get a skin biopsy to eliminate non melanoma skin cancer. Just need a handhold, feeling really nervous. I'm an only child and we have always been close.

itching in on area or in lots of places?

Littlemissprosecco · 09/08/2023 20:11

I’m a true believer of what will be will be, and once you know you can make plans to move forward. The not knowing is awful.
A handhold from me, will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Hi @Worklovelife
Handhold here xx
Sorry you're going through this. Really hope the results are all good.

Handhold here. My dad had this type of skin cancer. It was removed and he was assured it was very unlikely to spread to other organs. Wishing your dad all the best. Xx

his liver tests are all good?

Worklovelife · 10/08/2023 11:39

Hi all, thanks for your kind messages, means a lot.
It came back clear, there doesn't seem to be cancerous cells, thank God. They suspect severe skin inflammation due to heavy drug use. He has a lot of underlying conditions making him dependent on quite a few. They will look to at least reduce the optional ones. Hopefully his itching can subside a bit.
