Non agency carers

Am I right in thinking of you have a non agency private carer that means you are their employer - like a nanny situation or is it different because they have loads of clients.

Depends if they are self employed of not.

Trying to understand the difference - Nanny’s can’t be self employed - but carers can. I don’t understand the law in this area - if they wrongly describe themselves as self employed, is their employer is liable to pay NI and holiday
