Experience of Rangeford Villages?

We are in the process of encouraging MiL to move to supported living closer to the rest of the family as she is currently a 5 hour drive away. She has mild dementia but we can see she has deteriorated over the last 6 months and we are awaiting the results of a further assessment. Ultimately its likely that she will need dementia care.
Primary concern is to find somewhere she feels happy and is comfortable. Does anyone have experience of Rangeford Villages, who have several supported living facilities across the country ?
Thanks.

Sorry I can’t help with that particular company however we decided supported/assisted living was only a sticking plaster and my mum would need 24/7 care sooner rather than later.

Shes now in a care home and has deteriorated radically. I’m so pleased we didn’t try the independent living as it ‘could’ have been a very expensive and upsetting waste of money and time.

^This.
I suspect you need to think and act more for the long term. My GM was flying abroad on her own at 87, 12 months later she deteriorated rapidly and was in a care home. Moving her twice would have been awful. And expensive.

My mum has just moved into a Rangeford village. She is reluctant to take advantage of it all but the staff and facilities seem absolutely brilliant! I think they make you move out at the point you lose capacity though so maybe not the best option if that’s already on the horizon

Thank all. The facility we are looking at does actually provide personal care and nursing care for people with dementia if needed. Thats why its an option for us.
