LPA for mum

Hi, I am just looking alone advice really.
My dad has dementia and has recently been put into a care home (his care will be funded via the local authority as my parents live in a council property and have very little savings - approx £10k). We never arranged LPA for my dad.
My mum is now in the flat alone and as she ages is really starting to struggle with things like making payments etc (mainly due to so much stuff being online and her hearing is very bad so struggles on the phone). There is definitely some cognitive decline but no diagnosis of dementia or anything. She is also very frail and has carers come in to help her. I would like to get LPA for my mum but the only bank account she has is a joint account with my dad. Would I be able to get LPA and help with online banking etc for an account that also has my dads name on? Thanks for any advice you can give

Speak to AGE UK. They will help you do this. We were ripped off by a legal firm only to find out that a friend had completed the exact same process free via AGE UK.
