FIL is 90 and had hip surgery a week ago after breaking his femur.

The physio he's receiing at the hospital is very patchy, he's only had a few sessions and it should be daily.
He's also really suffering mentally from the very limited visiting times & now with covid cases in his ward those may even be taken away.
We're considering taking him out and bringing home where my MIL is and my DH have sorted out the house to make it all more manageable.
Fortunate enough to be in a position to consider private care and physio but struggling to find right physios who will visit in the area.
They are in Cumbria.
Anyone have any experience or tips? Anything we need to know?
Anyone

No idea on Physio in Cumbria but has he been offered rehabilitation? If he does stay where he is it may be tough mentally but at least he'll have access to things like Occupational Health.

It might be worth ringing the discharge team and seeing what the plans are.

Thank you for your reply. There was talk of moving him to a rehabilitation centre/physio unit but then it went a bit quiet. Communication with the OT is very patchy too - and nurses struggling to interpret their notes.
All a bit shambolic at the moment.
