I saw this book reviewed last weekend in the papers.
It’s written anonymously and is amazing. It’s sad and hilarious and anyone who has cared for elderly parents will identify with it immediately. Every bloody scenario we’ve been through is here. The remote control confusion, the lottery of the online shopping delivery, hoarding pills, resisting carers. We’ve all got the t-shirt!
As the back cover says, “it’s for anyone who has ever packed a small bag intent on staying for just a few days”.

I've added it to my Amazon wish list. The price is a bit steep for me just now but I am sure it will be fine once it comes out in paperback

Thanks OP, it looks interesting (and very familiar). I will get a copy.

I’m four chapters in but nothing has really kicked off yet. However, we all know how it can change in an instant …

Thing is, things often don’t change, it’s one interminable day after another….

I’ve just bought this book on audible after reading this post last night- searching through mumsnet for some relatable experiences to read about. It’s comforting me already in a kind of humorous, stoic way! Thanks for the share!
