Moving to a Nursing Home

Dear FIL is moving to a Nursing Hone next week for Palliative Care.

I seem to have brain freeze over what I could do for him to make the transition nicer for him.

A photograph album of family and friends? Likewise photos in frames to put around his room?

An I Pad (if he can use one) for Skype (video) calls to family and friends?

His favourite toiletries?

I send photo postcards (from Touchnote) to MIL when she is in hospital or step down care home, trying to send a photo of a different member of the family each time (and sometimes a small gift like biscuits or chocolates). We don’t live close enough to visit every day/week.

Didn’t I answer this same question yesterday ?

Well you might have Kangaroo but it's not me who asked the question, unless my forgetfulness is getting concerning Grin

Maybe it’s my memory then 🤣🤣🤣

I did think of posting yesterday and after you questioned it I had to go back and check that I hadn't.

Perhaps it's not your memory and you've developed a freaky new talent where you can "see" the posts before they've even been written? Grin

I think yesterday there was an uncle moving into care - that's probably where the confusion comes from.

We took mum's favourite lamp and ornaments and her own duvet cover. I also encouraged the family to send her big photo cards - the bigger the better. Her eye sight is really poor so she loves the massive Moonpig cards and has them on display all around her bedroom.
