Careline type pendants that don’t give false alarms

Hi all.
My mum has a Suresafe pendant alarm, which initiates a call to my phone if she presses it. The trouble is I am getting too many false alarms when she ‘doesn’t know how she pressed it accidentally’. I could get a monitored service but the main problem is the design of the pendant, and the ones I’ve looked at seem very similar.
Has anyone been round this loop and could recommend something a little more robust?
Thanks

MIL had the council run careline so the first call went to the local contact centre who would then call me if there was a problem. If it was a false alarm I wouldn't hear about it. Their service is £3 a week, they also gave reassurance and dealt with such concerns as "I can't get the freezer door shut". They also did smoke/fire/CO alarm monitoring.

MIL was a frequent faller and had a larger pendant that didn't need to be pressed, it sensed a fall and sent the alert automatically. There were still false alarms though from dropping it.

If it's a monitored service they will filter out the false calls for you, it stops being your problem. I think you needed a referral from a social worker for the environmental package (smoke etc alarms) but for £3 a week I thought it was excellent value.

Thanks for the responses. I might need to go the monitored route. If only button had a little flap over it then it’d stop the false alarms.

Can you not fit a flap for the time being? Cardboard with a sellotape hinge. I did that for the panic button on my father’s phone
