Where to buy huge socks?

Today's latest issue is finding some socks for a very elderly relative who has an ulcer on her foot and an absolutely huge dressing over it.

All the socks I can find (e.g. bariatric) socks are compression socks, which are unsuitable - we need something huge but not compressing.

Thought about socks for people in plaster - but what's been invented is little socks that only go over the toes!

Other relative is off to see if any ski socks might be suitable, but does anyone have any bright ideas? We can't be the first ones to have this issue!

To be honest I would be making them. Knitting or crochet them. What about fleece blanket cut to size with elastic sewn into top?

You need ribless socks - if you put that into google a whole category of Socks for Swollen Legs comes up on Amazon.

You will be spoilt for choice.

Have you looked at Cosyfeet?

I've discovered a whole range of "diabetic socks" (I didn't know socks had a pancreas Grin) which look good and a company in the US that sells nothing except extra wide socks for fat people

All suggestions have been sent off to the relative that holds the purse strings - thank you!
