Has your MIL had a social care assessment?

Who is the respite for? Have they had a carers assessment?

My mum had someone to sit with Dad via the local alzheimer's society. She had to stay in the house but could do gardening or sit and read a book and this lady would look after Dad. And they employed a cleaner whose cleaning skills were limited but was happy to Dad for a couple of hours while mum went out. Age Concern may have suggestions.

My MIL has early dementia - so the respite is to give the carer the required time off
