Are you allowed to visit them in their home?
Mulling solutions for my mum. Lives too far away. House hasn't sold. Thinking about renting a retirement apartment nearer for her.

I think you can visit as long as there are no other adults living in your own household.

You'd need to check the rules for the complex. The one near me prohibited visitors last time. They were still allowed to use the communal lounge so had company from other residents. The residents could obviously still go out though, so you could meet her elsewhere (assuming you're in a bubble).

The 'extra care' place near me has stopped all visitors.
