How to bank large amount of money

Does anyone have experience of this with an elderly relative?:

I'm trying to understand the best way to go about banking a large sum of money hidden in the house 😬

Is making an appointment with the bank manager the way forward?

I would contact the Age Uk helpline (0800 678 1602) as they can offer advice on money matters etc

I'd give the local branch of whatever bank you need to pay it into a ring and explain the situation - then they can tell you what they will need to do as I'm sure it varies, esp at the moment

Definitely speak to the bank. We are all fhaving to find solutions
To all sorts of issues at the moment so the normal process in February might not apply now.
