Okay, so I'm new

Please can someone help.. I really need a prescription picked up and delivered to
my vulnerable elderly parents

I can't do it. And the chemists they've arranged it with has had the driver go off sick.

All advice gratefully received- thank you 😊

I'm just wondering if there is an app that I can use that can help.. as in NHS volunteers that could help with this?

See if you local authority has put a process in place? We are doing this for our vulnerable residents

Greendin · 07/04/2020 15:37

Call the Chemist and ask if the prescription could be sent to another chemist that can deliver? Or call the GP surgery and ask if another prescription could be sent to another chemist that can deliver?

Do they have contact details of any neighbours that could help? Some of our neighbours put cards through the door...

I would call their local Covid-19 support service - the contact details should be listed on the council's website. They have volunteers who will be able to collect your parents' prescription - they have done for my parents Smile

I volunteer for our local coronavirus support group and 9/10 of the requests are to collect prescriptions. I'm surprised the pharmacy haven't suggested it. If there is a local Facebook group ask on there and someone will point you in the right direction.

So is the prescription still at the doctors? I use the echo app for prescription (Lloyd's pharmacy) they pick up from drs and mail prescription to you. I expect they're quite busy at the mo
