Yes op, you need to contact them providing evidence and they should update their contacts to send info to you, do u have financial poa?

We just got everything redirected by Post Office redirection service to begin with and then wrote to all utilities after that at our leisure .

Yes, they'll need to see either a power of attorney document or a letter signed by your Mum asking for the change of address.

I’ve just done it, PO redirection online and the only check was a letter sent to the original address (empty, that I was collecting mail from) asking if it was ok and if not, to get in touch. So it was very simple, worryingly so!

So it was very simple, worryingly so! I suppose the point is, anyone fraudulently wanting to redirect your mail would have to be able to access your home too. So be careful who you give your key to when you go on holiday Grin

I don't want to use Royal Mail redirection so I've managed to action 2 utility companies via Twitter. They just asked for a screenshot of the POA document .
DWP will have to be done by telephone

For us having their mail redirected highlighted a few things we never knew about. For example some product extended insurances / shares/ a carpet bagging bank account with £100 in it and Xmas cards. It didn't amount to much but refunded the redirection cost and did help try to tie up paperwork.
