DF won't see a doctor, asking for me to pick him up medicine

I have a very grumpy housebound father who is tbh not the greatest health wise but won't let us take him for any medical care/let us call a doctor etc.

My sister went to see him the other day and he's saying he's suffering with very bad dizziness and asked her to pick him something up at the chemist for it. She then kindly Envy tasked me with it because I work from home.

I know if I try and ask the pharmacists they're going to tell me that they can't recommend anything and take him to seek medical care. He is an alcoholic, doesn't eat properly and despite getting social services involved time and again, refuses them entry.

What can I do? He's texting me asking me why I haven't brought him any medication round. Any advice?

What medication exactly does he want?
Not sure they can sell you anything for dizziness. If you can’t be bothered argue just say you went and they said there was nothing they could suggest but that he should see a GP

Just tell him that there is nothing you can buy OTC for dizziness and it’s either see a Dr or put up with it - not very sympathetic sounding but true .

You could get him some Vitamin B compound and Thiamine.

I wouldn’t get anything, tell him they can’t give him anything for dizziness and that they’ve said he needs to see a doctor.

Thanks everybody. Have text him saying as much and that I'm happy to run him to the doctor or walk in clinic instead. X
