Any Experience of Country Cousins or Christies live-in care?

I am looking at the information for these two agencies.
Have you found carers who will stay for a while? i.e not change every week?
Were they good to deal with?
Anything we should bear in mind that might not be obvious from the brochures?

2 parents in one household, one with more advance needs (help with toiletting / continence) one much more self sufficient, just needs general household assistance and support.

Hi, we used country cousins twice, for live in carers, first in 2012 and then again earlier this year.

Our experience both times was very good, though we do not have anything to compare it to. We didn't consider trying anyone else this year when they were needed again.

Carers came for a fortnight at a time, then handed over to the next one. They lived in a spare room, had a private bathroom and sitting room/study.

The fortnightly rotations worked quite well, living in such close quarters it was good to have a change of personality every two weeks. Each was lovely, but all very different which was pleasant for the ages parent.

It would also have been easy to ask for anyone who didn't 'work out' to be swapped out sooner.

Our intention was to build up three different carers who would be away for a month at a time but my mothers condition deteriorated much faster than expected and is now safe and comfortable in a home.

Hope that helps, I'm more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
