Can anyone help please. My elderly Father has set POA for a friend to run his financial and health affairs and he wants to add myself and my sister meaning that there will be three of us helping out.

I have looked on the OPG to query whether I need to cancel the old one and apply for a new one and its not clear. What form do I need to fill in? I don't really want to cancel the existing one because I understand that it takes a number of months to set up a new one and I don't want a gap!

Their site says you have to end the LPA and write up a new one, call them on 0300 456 0300 just to be sure, if you do have to maybe you get a refund, you can only askWink

Cheesy. Thank you so much. I did call them in the end. They told me the old one lasts until the new one is in place. Didn’t think about the refund though. Good point. It’s very difficult isn’t. My father isn’t an easy man.
