Call from DM, she is beside herself - A new carer came in yesterday and she was rude, obnoxious, and wouldn't cook DM her meal as she, the carer, doesn't eat meat. I can't get hold of the care agency as they are all out and not answering their phones, would it be unreasonable of me to just go round and ask the woman to leave. DM does get very anxious, and has been known to exaggerate, but literally she is in tears and wants the woman out.... what shall I do?

Yes, I would go around but I'd try to find out the other side of the story. If this carer is refusing to cook a meal because of their beliefs then they are no good as a carer, when that role includes cooking. The majority of the population eat meat, it's a fact of life.

Yes I'd go round find out the carers side and suggest she leave, we had this, they refused to cook as they said they weren't insured to use an oven which I knew was complete bollox. Keep trying the agency, they might have an hour's of hours number and ask for a different carer, whatever has happened your mum is not happy with this person. Did you witness any of this yesterday.
