I'm hoping you lovely mumsnetters could recommend me somewhere to buy some slippers for my Nana. She turns 90 next week and is currently having serious problems with her legs and her feet, they have been swollen for a long time but they are currently worse than ever and are absolutely huge. She needs some new slippers but we are struggling to find slippers that will fit. She is also blind so something easy to get on but secure once they are on is essential. Can anyone help?

Asda do ballet type slippers that can be flexible with width if that helps

If your Nan has particular medical conditions she does not have to pay vat on shoes. Cosyfeet have always been very helpful when we have spoken to them.

My dad needs slippers (he hasn't been able to wear shoes for years) that open right out and then fit securely as his feet and legs are terribly swollen and he often has bandaging due to leg ulcers. He prefers the ones more like bootees as they don't cut in at he ankle or edges.
I've bought from Cosyfeet, Sandpiper ones from www.wideshoes4u.co.uk , but I've also found a great selection on Amazon by searching for swollen feet slippers

I too have used Cosyfeet for my MIL. They are good to deal with. They sell single slippers for those with one leg.and matching velcro extension straps to make wide slippers even wider.
