I was wondering if anyone had any experience in this area? My sister and I are looking to sell some land which we co-own with my mum to help pay for her care home fees. The problem is that she has early onset Alzheimer's but has not lost mental capacity but she has lost most of her language. We need to get a solicitor to witness all of us signing documents agreeing to the sale of the land. The problem is that she had a stroke at the beginning of the year and her right hand has lost most of its function so she can't hold a pen properly to write. Some days she is better than others but it's not reliable. Is it possible that the solicitor would allow us to sign for her if he was persuaded that she was in agreement? Thanks.
