They are investigating tumors in her cervix, and possible spread.

They had to admit her, and start investigating under GA. Her having advanced dementia is not helping. My sister was there with her. The nursing home staff went off duty at 3pm, and my sister was struggling because mum does not understand. She ripped out her drip. She refused to stay in bed, and kept trying to climb out. Her nappy ended up blood soaked.

They think the cancer has spread to her lungs. They are doing another MRI tomorrow.

She has had bone marrow cancer since 1997, been in a care home for dementia for nearly 4 years. They had to sedate her this evening so that my sister could go home.

I dont know what to say really. I wish I was there. I would just hold her. Stroke her hands and hair, and try calm her. Sad

I just saw some interesting news that people with blood group AB (like my mum) are twice as likely to develop dementia than people with bloodgroup O.
