Just popping on here to ask you to check your parent's insurance and energy providers if possible.
My Mum used Age Concern for insurance and energy provision. To our discredit we (my brothers and I) assumed this would be a decent service, being aimed at OAPs and all.
When we finally checked we realised the EON tie in with Age Concern was actually more expensive than their standard tariff and her contents insurance was x3 more than the cheapest offering on a comparison website.
We were taken in by the Age Concern branding, in reality they're just like any other provider and will pump up the fees where possible.
I'm cross with myself for not checking sooner but I'm cross with them too.
Beware!
