That's all.... I feel physically ill after yesterday. Torn all ways and unable to cope.

Be I have to , so I expect I will.

Sorry you're having a tough time (sorry I don't know your story). No-one's superhuman, can you get help from anyone else? At least nurture yourself if possible, give yourself some time out, if possible?

I asked for a bit of support at work today and got nothing, but a request for me to help with emergencies! That was kind of the last straw.

Unless your boss has been through it, I just don't think people understand the stress. I find it helps to try and take five minutes [if you have time!] to relax each muscle and breathe deeply. Then just realise it's not surprising you feel stressed.

I spend half an hour on the phone yesterday with social services - I only had a small query, but by the time I explained the whole situation for the third time, I was so fed up. Then the third person was so unexpectedly sympathetic. After I unburdened myself, thinking she was indeed the person I needed, I discovered she was the receptionist!!! But she was the only one who had shown any empathy... I guess she'd been through similar.

So with that response from work, no wonder you feel worse. :(

So sorry. Can you take even a bit of time out- coffee with a friend or anything? A long bath? Take care of yourself.

sadly I'm a partner I don't have a boss as such!
Feeling a bit brighter today as, despite my desire to hide under the duvet and cry I went out and ate tapas for a friend's birthday.
one of my partners did chat to me later on and has very kindly rearranged her child care so she's no going to take Monday off and I can do so. hopefully that will be enough after a distracting though busy weekend.
