Elderly parents

73 year old mother in law being chained up by her husband!

This is the reason why she couldn't come to the phone this afternoon.
Squealing 'close the curtains' at her husband.
Lots of giggling and unraveling of heavy duty chains in the background and she finally gets to the phone.

Seriously, what does one do with such a mother in law?

Shock there is nothing else which can be said.

Please tell me they were doing something else with those chains than what I am thinking, seriously though - they might break a hip!

this is the same MIL that sends biscuits to the children in brown paper parcels wrapped up in string.

and postcards from everywhere she goes.

the only reason we are not throwing up about this is that FIL did the same thing to my DH last weekend, and says it's not dangerous.
