can I recommend this book FOR people with dementia?

It's called 'Blue Sky, White Clouds' and is a brilliantly simple idea. The author describes how he came up with it while caring for his mother (who has Alzheimer's) here

I know the author, Eliezer Sobel, but I am not connected to the publisher and have nothing to gain by promoting it, except to see a good idea help people. I'm also a long-time MNer, honest!

You can make more personal books like this as a photobook - I make them for my mum of family pictures, but clearly labelled in very short sentences and she spends hours looking at them.

I'm pleased to see something for those with dementia which doesn't assume they want 1940s memories - my mum was a young adult in the 60's, so the 40's is totally inappropriate for those entering dementia now
