Hi there,

Does anyone have any opinion of the pre-prep Glenesk and Cranmore prep in Surrey.

Looking at both but getting very confused.

Many thanks.

If it is for a girl try St. Teresa's a brilliant school in Effingham. Excellent new Headmistress from Sept for Prep and Pre Prep and superb facilities. Will soon have a waiting list.

If a boy go for Cranmore. By farthe best for boys.

My mum has just stopped working at Cranmore as a peripatetic music teacher after almost 20 years there. Excellent academic reputation and lots of musical activities going on.

I would not personally consider glenesk as it is part of the cognita group (ie run for profit).

Cranmore has a good reputation although maybe a less academic child would struggle with the workload.

I have also heard very good things about St Ts for girls.

Longacre has a good reputation for co-ed.

I would also look at the state options in your area. There are some very good state schools in Surrey.
