Calling Teachers- How do I apply for threshold!?

Am on mat leave and have handed in my notice but my Head said I could still apply for threshold. The person in charge of it in school is useless and never gets back to me so help- what do I need to do!? (I know it has changed this year so the form isn't as onerous but that's about all I know.

(If I don't do threshold now and go back to another school then will have at least a year of gathering evidence as you have to have evidence that is within three years old I believe).

Have a look at
www.teachernet.gov.uk/management/payandperformance/threshold/

Basically you have to either write a letter asking for consideration and enclosing two successful PM reviews or complete the threshold application form if you haven't the two PM reviews ( perhaps because of your maternity leave)

thanks. Have 2 good PM reviews I think but trouble is finding them sigh.

The Hr person at your school must have copies.

Yes, all on PM now - if you've hit your targets you should be fine.

That's assuming my school is a well oiled organised machine - it isn't!

Have emailed the head to ask as it has all changed since I left and I don't even know who is in charge of HR anymore!

Fingers crossed- would be awesome if I get it as if I start in a new school I won't have to have a couple of years on M6 (getting my PM reviews) before passing it again as will have been a few years out of the classroom and they like recent evidence I believe.

Might be trickier to get a new job though as you'll be more expensive. Unless you're going for smt.
