Key Stage 2 SATs results

Does anyone know when the K.S. 2 SATs results are due out this year? My DDs school did the tests as normal and they were sent off to be marked but I'm not sure when to expect the (good?!!!) news? Many thanks.

Always been in July in the past, ime. About 10-15 July typically.

Some schools have started to get the maths papers back ( these are quicker to mark than the english!) but apparently the level thresholds aren't coming out until the 6 July so we won't know what level they are until then!

Well, got scripts being sent back to schools this week and next so the schools will have an idea but as primarymum said, not 'official word' yet.

It's ridiculous! Usually we get the scripts back with a level assigned as the markers are given the thresholds as they mark. This year they have just been asked to mark but not assign a level. So we will be able to tell a child that he got x number of marks but not what level this actually means they have achieved. ( level boundaries can vary from year to year so although we know roughly how many marks you need for a particular level we can't be 100% certain!) They will have to wait a further 2 weeks for this!

Yes, we still had to total up the marks on the papers though, even though they are not entered on to the marksheet which annoyed me.

Adair - maybe it's a good thing you have to add the marks up; last year about 20% of our papers had addition mistakes and had to be sent back.

Thresholds were issued today so we now know the levels! Ours will be handwritten onto reports that go out tomorrow!

We get ours on Thursday apparently.

Ours arrived at the school today. We are getting them on Friday.
