I've looked at the local website but no mention of fees. I seem to remember it being based on your income, does anyone know how do they work that out?

One in Hertfordshire is about £4,000 per year for Kindergarten and about £9,000 per year for top secondary age. You'd have to ask about means tested bursaries etc in the normal way I would think.

The one near us costs just over £1000 ish in the lower age ranges, going up to about £1400 per term at the top of primary age range and into secondary. It used to charge a proportion of your income, but stopped that a few years ago. Now you have to apply for a bursary if you cannot afford the fees. hth.
It is going through the motions of getting to academy status tho' ,and if they achieve that the fees will eventually go altogether. May be worth checking out if yours is doing anything like that, as could mean fees aren't going to last forever (bit of a gamble tho').
