I am doing a straw poll to find out which of these areas parents feel most informed about (by media, discussions etc.)

a. The digital switchover

b. Education and qualifications for 11-19 year
olds

c. The new iphone

It's a bit 'tongue in cheek' but I'd love to have your comments!

d. informed about equally on all of above

I know nothing at all about the new iphone. I didn't even know there was a new one. I don't know anything about the old one.

I know the digital switchover is when all your old tellys and radios become useless. And it's happening gradually, area by area.

Education and qualifications etc etc - gcses, vocational quals & apprenticeships etc

a. Reasonably well informed.

b. As a parent I am more worried about the level of information that employers have about qualifications for 11-19 year olds

c. I've seen a reasonable amount of coverage!

Perhaps it would be easier to go back to CSEs and Olevels?!

b.

Know little about the other two because am not in to mobiles and we don't have a TV. Not sure what an iphone is...is it just a mobile phone that can do special things?

None of these but I know a fair bit about Medieval Paleography, Cake-Baking, and How to Induce Periods of Sexual Frenzy in Catfish.

There are more ways than one to skin a cat. Or indeed to engage in your child's education.

Thanks everyone.

Interesting Cory. I'll take that as a C. than?
