School is sooo false when ESTYN inspects!

I am sick to the back teeth of ds's school Estyn is inspecting next week....the teachers are so stressed running around making sure their are nice displays on walls.....that ds hasn't had PE for at least 6 weeks.

It's sooo false...cant Estyn see through these schools rushing around like headless chickens last minute...when if they did not prepare it show that problems like over 30 kids in Y1 to one teacher of course their is no time and yes their is problems!

These inspections are a waste of time, any school can run around few weeks before to make the school seem perfect...when clearly it isnt.

tottally agree inspection systams dont improve much saw that when Ofsted came into my daughters school I think a lot more would improve if they stopped the ofsted inspe
ctions so schools didnt get so stressed Then maybe they could have time to communicate with pupils and parents and if the school was brave enough create questionares to be given back to the school governors The school my daughter was at was very intimidating due to a few teachers and head teacher who seemed to have very limited emotional inteligence and at times were outriht cruel mentionig the fact that in one subject the teacher disappeared each lesson leaving pupils in years 10 and 11 to spend their lesson on compmuter games would only result in their increasing lack of interest in the pupil or parent who dared to mention such a thing The school due to a few at the top was a miserable place But being so thick skinned they were more than able to put on an act for ofsted and get an undeservered good report from them

I feel your pain! They should get spot checks to get a better picture.
