Complaints Committee

I am following the school's complaints policy and making a complaint to the Governors as I am not getting resolution with the head teacher and part of the complaint is about the head teacher..

Does anyone have any experience of going before a complaints committee? Thanks.

Bumping .
Hope someone can help.
Will it be a complaints committee ,or just the governors listening ,in first instance ,to your complaint ?
Thinking probably not so formal ?
Just thinking ,if you are asked to come and talk to governors - why not explain that you've not done this before and ask about procedure ,what they expect from you and what can you expect ?
Can you take someone with you - moral support or to talk for you ,just another pair of ears to listen and record what said ?
My experience of meetings at school is that the minutes can be a rather poor reflection of what said and agreed. And if you're on your own it's hard to speak and take in what said .

Thanks for your support.
A complaints meeting meeting has been agreed. I have been to ask write the complaint..for the 3rd time. I asked where to get help to write it in the right way, but they haven't replied.

I've been told that governors deal with "setting and monitoring policy, standards and stategic direction"> I have complains on all these issues.

But where do I go for resolution on issues concerning an individual child? I have asked, but again, they haven't replied.

Oh dear ,they don't sound v helpful.
Maybe if you posted a few more details - age of child ,what you've done so far to get problem sorted someone on here might offer advice ?

You could try a google search on Governors Complaints procedures.

Or try the Citizens Advice Bureau.
Also look at CAB web site.

If it's a private school then you should speak to the org that regulates them (eg - ISI)

Most schools should have clearly laid out procedure - if it doesn't maybe DCSF can help...
